85th Anniversary Dinner and Inauguration of 53rd Exco
SJA celebrated its 85th anniversary with a dinner at Voco Orchard, where it inaugurated the 53rd Executive Committee (Exco). The new leadership will steer the Association towards innovation and continued growth in Singapore’s jewellery sector.
A key moment of the evening was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with NTUC U SME, that will focus on workforce transformation through skills development and training in the industry.
SIJE 2024 and GIA Retail Seminar
At the SIJE 2024, the Gemological Institute of America (Hong Kong) hosted a key Retail Support Training Program. Experts Mr Louis Mok and Ms Casta Cheung covered the 4Cs of diamond quality, the diamond grading system, and how to distinguish natural diamonds from lab-grown diamonds.
Retailers learned advanced techniques for identifying HPHT and CVD diamonds, helping them make informed sales decisions.
Held at Marina Bay Sands, SIJE 2024 featured over 335 brands from 30 countries, showcasing jewellery and gemstones worth more than USD 250 million.

To usher in the Year of the Rabbit, members were treated to a luxurious Luncheon spread on 3 February 2023 at the ever-grand Yan Palace Restaurant. It was a hearty meal filled with laughter as everyone looked forward to an even more bountiful and prosperous 2023!
INAUGURATION OF THE 52ND EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE
26 August 2022 welcomed the 52nd Executive Committee members of the Singapore Jewellers Association. As Covid-19 measures were eased, EXCO members looked forward to the gathering, sharing delectable dishes and aspirations for the future with one another at the Furama Riverfront Hotel. The event was graced by Minister of State, Ms Low Yen Ling. The occasion served as a commemoration of the Executive Committee members’ contributions to the association, while also reminding everyone of their ongoing support for the timeless Jewellery Industry in Singapore.

WEBINAR WITH PRESIDIUM INSTRUMENTS
SJA and Presidium Instruments Pte Ltd jointly organised a webinar on the identification of Lab-Grown Diamonds, Natural Diamonds, Moissanites & Simulants and how Presidium’s instruments exclusively for SJA members on 19 May 2021.
The event focused on the use of Presidium’s instruments to distinguish between lab grown diamonds, natural diamonds, moissanites and simulants. SJA members were entitled to a 10% discount on Presidium’s full range of products.
